Who I Am and Why I’m Here
I am Yessenia Matamoros. I have owned a blog for over 10 years and enjoy writing about art and sharing others stories of testimony or adversity.
My Path from Military Service to Penn State
While I had this blog I’ve kept another vocation primarily in project and supply chain management (PSCM) yet I never had the degree for it. I joined the military in my early thirties and although I joined to serve the United States, along the way I learned of the school benefits and took advantage of it.
Recently I have obtained my dream job and want to ensure I can remain on my career path and want to solidify my expertise with a PSCM bachelors degree specifically from Penn State University. After 2 years I’m a few months shy of my Associates in Business Administration and look forward to continuing this education course.
Information Systems I Already Use
Unbeknownst to me, I have a lot of experience using Information Systems such as:
- Transaction Processing Systems (TPS)
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems
- Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Business Collaboration Systems
- Decision Support Systems (DSS)
- Office Automation Systems (OAS)
Information Systems I Hope to Learn
I hope to eventually learn how to use the following:
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
- Knowledge Management Systems (KMS)
What I Hope to Get Out of This Class
I hope that in this class I would learn more of the information systems I have never used, and learn more of the ones I’ve used and have even taken for granted.
